Abstract

Preterm births are one of the most pressing problems in obstetric practice, negatively impacting high perinatal morbidity and mortality rates and the health of newborns. In recent years, special attention has been paid to the significance of oxidative stress and ferroptosis mechanisms in the placental tissue. In this direction, a comprehensive study of the clinical, echographic, microbiological, biochemical, and morphological characteristics of the fetoplacental complex is of great scientific and practical importance for improving early diagnosis, prognosis, and preventive measures.
