Academic Achievement of Science and Arts Students at Senior Secondary Level in Relation to Aggression

Abstract

The present study was conducted to study the relationship between aggression and academic achievement among the science and arts students of senior secondary level. To achieve this objective, 600 students of class XII were selected as sample from six higher secondary schools affiliated to the state board of Higher Secondary Education in Jammu District Jammu and Kashmir. The researchers adopted the Aggression Scale developed and standardised by Mathur & Bhatnagar (2004) . Academic achievement scores has been taken from the result of XII Examination of the selected students. Pearson Product Moment Method was used to find out the relation between the variables. The study found that there is a negative and significant relationship between aggression and academic achievement of the students.
